In all, 100 GOAL Miles took place over the festive and New Year period in 2012, with tens of thousands of people taking part once again. To date, close to €140,000 has been raised for GOAL’s various humanitarian programmes across the developing world.
Three years ago this month, a devastating earthquake rocked Haiti, killing 230,000, injuring 300,000 and leaving 1.5 million people without a home. GOAL was on the ground hours after the disaster struck and today we are continuing to rebuild lives, while also working with communities to find sustainable solutions to long-standing housing, water, sanitation and livelihood issues.
