King Jack heads to Haiti with GOAL

King Joffrey to visit GOAL projects in Haiti

Irish actor, Jack Gleeson will spend four days with GOAL in Haiti next week visiting some of our programmes for some of Haiti’s most vulnerable people. The ‘Game of Thrones star’, who plays King Joffrey Baratheon, one of television’s most evil characters in the HBO smash hit, has also been confirmed as a special guest at this year’s GOAL USA Benefit Ball in New York City on November 8. You can read more about Jack’s trip here.

Meanwhile, if your school or company took part in GOAL Jersey Day, you might like to view our folder of images from the day on our Flickr page. Jersey Day took place at a record 1,100 locations on Friday, October 11, with thousands of school children and workers taking part. For more information, pictures and videos on the event, visit GOAL’s Jersey Day webpage.

Finally, any Dublin or Clare fans out there may want to see if they were captured in our photo albums from the recent GOAL Challenge matches.

The two games – held at Parnell Park, Dublin, and Sixmilebridge, Clare - were a huge success, with more than €20,000 raised for GOAL’s programmes. To see a full gallery of pictures from Parnell Park, click here, while to see if you can spot yourself in Sixmilebridge, click here

To all those who organised, raised money, participated in, or attended any or all three events – a big THANK YOU!
